The revenue division issued a circular on Friday, announcing a further relaxation in the deadline for filing the Income Tax returns for FY 2018. The date has now been extended to August 9, 2019. FBR officials said that the relaxation has been given to facilitate the people.
So far, 2.1 million people have filed their taxes, which is the highest number of returns in the country’s history.
Revenue Division said in their circular that, “The Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to further extend the date of filing of income tax returns /statements/for the tax year 2018 for individuals/AoP (Association of Persons) and companies, up to 9th August, 2019.”
