Law Minister Farogh Naseem said on Wednesday 13th of November 2019 that, “One-time permission offered to the former PM to leave the country for four weeks can be extended if his health condition requires so.” He further added that Mr. Nawaz Sharif has been allowed to leave the country for 4 weeks but his leave can be extended if the doctors think that he need more healthcare.
The former PM had refused to sign any conditional offer and had said that he would not sign another surety bond. He said that the bond submitted in IHC on Oct 29, at the time of his bail should be enough and there was no need to sign any other bond.
The officials further said that Nawaz Sharif’s name is not being removed from the ECC list. However, he is receiving a 4 weeks exemption from the list to go abroad for medical treatment. The government officials further added that the PM has allowed Sharif to go abroad for treatment, purely on humanitarian ground.
