The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) has started its Azadi March and are on their way to the capital. The JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing the marchers said that the war has been announced and we will not retreat from this march now. He said that we are moving towards the capital to protect the constitution, our democracy and our country. He further added that the current PM has put the country’s survival at risk and the constitution has been made a joke.
Commenting on the restrictions on media regarding the coverage of the march, Fazal said that the fake PM says on media channels that the government has given no censorship notice, but he should ask pemra that under whose supervision were the TV anchors restricted to cover the march.
The Azadi march started on Sunday afternoon from the Karachi Sohrab Goth area towards Islamabad and thousands of members of the JUI-F including students from madrassas have joined the march. The JUI-F officials have said that no person younger than the age of 18 years would join the protest. The convoys of different political parties have also joined the march.
The different political leaders, before starting their march addressed the marchers and said that the PM should resign and JUI-F chief Fazal-ur-Rehman has said that he would not back away from his demand of resignation of PM.
