Pakistan’s Economy Is Now Stable; Has Entered Growth Phase: Hammad Azhar

The Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar, in a press conference on Sunday, said that the country had come out of the tough economic conditions and has now achieved economic stability and would now start to enter the economic growth phase. He added that the tough decisions taken by the government had taken the country out of the economic emergency and were now showing results. He added that the foreign exchange reserves are stable and the exchange rate is also stabilizing. He added that the current government had to take control in an extremely tough situation, with almost $10 billion accrued payments and a huge circular debt. He said that the government was taking several steps to make sure that the underprivileged segment of the society is not disturbed. The government has started the Ehsaas program and other such welfare programs to cater to the needy. He added that Ehsaas would greatly improve the poverty condition of the country.
