Pakistan’s export performance in FY19 remained almost the same as the previous year and increased by a mere 2% in the months of July-Sept 2019, as compared to the same period last year. According to the data released by the SBP, following are the main components of exports of the country:
- Textile groups were a major component of the country’s exports and consisted of 59% of the total exports and stood at $3.4 billion.
- Food products exports including rice, fruits and vegetables, contributed 18% to the total exports and stood at $460.5 million
- Manufactured goods exports were 16% of the total exports and stood at almost $450 million.
- Petroleum group’s exports amounted up to almost $45.5, which was a mere 2% of the total exports.
